In the National Park Service, Interpretation is the process of helping each park visitor find an opportunity to personally connect with a place.

Interpretive Programs are often one of the best tools for getting visitors involved in the National Parks. The goal of all interpretive services is to increase each visitor's enjoyment and understanding of the parks, and to allow visitors to care about the parks on their own terms.

The Rangers in the New River Gorge provide a variety of programs that are designed to enhance visitor interpretation in this National Park. Activities range from birding along the gorge, to catching a glimpse of Native American Perspective, to hiking along the Endless Wall (of Rock) Trail. These Interpretive programs are a great way to experience some of the most treasured aspects of our National Parks. All interpretive activities are free to park visitors.
